
One of the latest trends to hit the real estate market right now is the foreclosure tour. It is becoming a popular way of buying a home, mainly because it allows buyers -- be they looking for a residence or an investment -- to see homes that are mostly selling at below market value. And in a real estate market that many feel is faltering, this means that there plenty of good deals to be had.
But be careful on your foreclosure tour. Agents may try to get you to commit immediately. You want to do research on the neighborhoods and market in the areas where the homes are located. If you aren't careful, you may find that your bargain basement real estate purchase is actually just basement.
